The CXRR time table published shortly after the completion of the route with the A & P main line shows Waterman Junction which was renamed Barstow at the time this ad appeared inthe San Bernardine Weekly Times. In 1963, interested citizens from Barstow, Daggett, Hinkley, Lenwood, and Yermo met to establish a museum for the desert. The group selected temporary officers and directors, and in 1964 established the Mojave River Valley Chapter of the San Bernardino County Museum Association. Most odf the photos in ths book are in the collection of the Mojave River Valley Juseum Association. the museum facility. The museum is open seven days a week and there are entrance fees.
