About This Item
Macmillan, New York, 1964 An exceptional copy of the first edition/first printing: book fine and dustcover as new. The book has a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown and the previous owner's name in neat script on the front free endpaper --- otherwise it is flawless, clean, crisp and tight. The dustcover has the first edition points (price $2.75 and 74762 on the front flap). The dustcover is as new. Light brown cloth-covered boards, gilt spine lettering, blind-stamped front board, 9 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches, 42 pp., Sendak's wonderful illustrations, and Jarrell's great poetry and prose. An outstanding copy of a fantastic children's book. (1722RO006). 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/As New.
