About This Item
Toronto: Macmillan, 1963 Book. Illus. by Lewis Parker. Very Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Original bright red cloth on boards. The clash of British troops under Wolfe with the French at Quebec under Montcalm has been called a victory for the British, although both leaders lost their lives in this pivotal battle on the Plains of Abraham in 1759. The author's name is familiar to this writer as the source of several volumes dealing with naval history. Here is history, with just enough invention to make it interesting to younger readers.
