The author's "personal experiences throughout the entire Civil War" including prisoner in "Andersonville, Libby, Millen and other Southern prisons." 633 pages, age toned. Blue cloth boards with gold and black lettering and illustrations on front and spine. On other side of the frontis portrait of author is illustration of hounds & prisoners. Illustrations in book are spread throughout the book. Cloth is worn through at top & bottom of spine and corners. Spine is partly faded and rubbed.
