London: Macmillan and Co Limited, 1888. 1st Edition. Green Boards. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 411pp; A lovely copy. Appears to be a first edition. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and bound in original publishers cloth. Frontispiece plate with tissue guard. The cloth at the head and tail of the spine is lightly turned in and there is light rubbing to the head of the spine. Slight spots of fading to the tail of the front board. Pencil name signature to the front end paper. One unopened page and slight finger soiling to the half title page. Foxing to the tissue guard with light mottling to the title page. The book is clean and tight. A very good copy.
