Reader reviews for In the Beginning

From the publisher

A sharp and witty satire skewering modern social and political absurdities.

When Tara Farrier returns to the UK after years as an aid worker, she's unprepared for the cultural battles raging at her new think tank. A simple comment about volcanoes lands her in hot water, branded a 'Yerf' - a Young Earth Rejecting Fascist. Now, she must navigate the minefield of cancel culture, social media manipulation, and gender identity politics, all while trying to make sense of a world turned upside down.

From the acclaimed author of The End of the World is Flat, this humorous and thought-provoking novel explores the power of belief, the search for truth, and the courage to resist prevailing madness. Perfect for readers seeking satirical fiction that fearlessly tackles today's most divisive issues.
