The slipcase its in has some marks on the corner but otherwise in cool shape (see photos). The forward is by James Rorimer who according to Wikipedia was: "...an American museum curator and former director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he was a primary force behind the creation of the Cloisters, a branch of the museum dedicated to the art and architecture of Medieval Europe." The slipcase reflects this stating: "At The Cloisters The Metropolitan Museum Of Art - New York"
