Boston: Chapman & Grimes, Inc., 1939 Cloth. Good+/Good A study of distance in the physical sciences by an eminent astronomer. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs and diagrams. Prior owner's bookplate on front endpaper. Book was exposed to dampness at some point, so there is some faint puckering to interior pages and a small dampstain on the book's front cover. Dust jacket intact and bright, but with moderate edgewear, including a few closed tears and creasing, and dampstain showing around front flap and verso of dj.
