About This Item
New York: Summit Books, 1989. Uncorrected Proof . Trade Paperback. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [NOTE: scan is of the BACK cover, with an arresting photo of the author.] This is the limited (advance) Uncorrected Proof state - not quite the same as, but often referred to as an Advance Reading Copy, or ARC - fast becoming an attractive "collectible", as it precedes the First Edition. Bicycle Days, the author's first novel, chronicle's a young, recently-Yale-graduated American's coming of age in Japan, amidst an atmosphere of cultural differences and incongruities. 290 pages. CONDITION: a bright, tight, square, unmarked copy with minimal shelf-wear, compromised only by the faint ghost of a coffee-cup ring on the front cover (for which a scan will gladly be supplied on request - really, it's very faint) and a near-crease on the back cover. This handsome, collectible copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag.
