About This Item
Albert Whitman & Company, 1955. Hardcover. Fine/Good. Red cloth boards with paper onlay, under matching dust jacket. 8-1/4" x 6-1/4". Signed by Betty Russell opposite title page. Rubbing to spine panel of DJ, closed tear to bottom of front panel; good to very good. Oh, the innocence! Not many parents today would send their children to do the shopping, and then be okay when their kids provide their home address to the grocery clerk in order to win a prize. Well, that's what happens, and it's sweet. The "funny door" is a door that opens automatically, quite the new experience for the boy.
