The first edition, first impression.In the original unclipped dust wrapper.The fourth of Frank Richard's 'Billy Bunter' novels, this tale following Bunter as he becomes the assistant to the local manager of the Comet Copra Company on the South Sea Island of Lololo.Richards, the pen name for Charles Hamilton, originated his schoolboy character William George Bunter for the weekly story paper 'The Magnet', his first appearance being in 1908. The novels are set in the fictional Greyfriars School, a public school in Kent.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and four full-page illustrations, by R. J. Macdonald. Four pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Light edge wear to the dust wrapper, with small closed tears. Wraps are a little discoloured with light handling marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
