London: Longmans, Green, & Co, 1876. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7" by 4". None. The new edition of this reference work on biographies by Samuel Maunder, bound in straight grain morocco. The new edition, with supplements, bringing the work down to the present time. Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece. Bound in full straight grain morocco with gilt details and raised bands to the spine. This work was written by Samuel Maunder, and English writer who wrote many treasuries and reference works including this dictionary. This work provides and extensive dictionary of biographical works, arranged alphabetically with a bibliography to the rear. The work was very popular, directing it's readers to the important figures in Britain, and their biographies, at the time of it's publication. Bound in full straight grain morocco. Externally very smart with slight fading to the spine, a mark to the rear board and very minimal rubbing to the rear joint. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with spotting to the front and rear. Very Good Indeed
