First thus of The Birds of Siberia by Henry Seebohm in the original publisher's pictorial cloth boards.A record of a naturalist's visit to the valley's of the Petchora and Yenesei in 1875 and 1877. The first thus of this work, being a combination of the titles 'Siberia in Europe' (1880) and 'Siberia in Asia' (1882).Henry Seebohm was a nineteenth century ornithologist and traveller. Densely illustrated with in text illustrations and engravings and with a large colour folding map to the rear. Collated, complete. Prior owner's ink inscriptions to the pastedowns and prior owner's book plate dated 1931 to the first pastedown. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There are some light marks to the boards.
