First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by University of Michigan Press, 1970. An invaluable resource on close to 200 species of boletes of the Michigan area. Professor Smith was Director of the University of Michigan Herbarium. Professor Thiers specialized in Mycology at San Francisco State University. More than 300 b&w photos. 428 pages with Index. 6-1/4" X 9-1/4". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket has some chipping at the head and heel of the spine and at the top right corners. Some rubbing wear to the jacket as well. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Some smudging to the edges of the text block. Cover boards are flat, some slight edge wear at the tips of the corners. Sewn binding is tight and square. Not a library discard copy, not a remainder copy. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory. Seller Inventory # 24-02075
