An excellent biographical account of the life and work of artist Claud Lovat Fraser, illustrated in colour. Claud Lovat Fraser (1890-1921) was an English artist and author, known for his designs after the first world war, which included for 'As You Like It' and 'The Beggar's Opera'. His career was cut short by his tragically early demise.Written by Haldane MacFall, an art critic and historian. He had collaborated with Claud Lovat Fraser, and also written biographies on the likes of Henry Irving, Whistler, Henrik Ibson and Francois Boucher. Illustrated with twenty-one plates, including those in colour and two portraits of the subject. With vignette illustrations throughout.A wonderful biographical work exploring the life and art of Lovat Fraser. In a quarter cloth binding. Externally generally smart; some minor wear to the edges and boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
