Illustrated with coloured frontispiece and fifteen coloured plates, with many in-text images. Collated complete. A collection of English ballads and poems, including: 'The Knight and the Shepherd's Daughter,' 'Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne,' 'Sir Lancelot du Lake,' 'Thomas the Rhymer,' and many others. Selected with an introduction by Beverley Nichols, an English playwright and writer. Illustrated by Henry Matthew Brock, a British illustrator and landscape painter. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the cloth and a 5" split to the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
