[6], 3-114, [2] pp. Beige cloth with black and red lettering on the front board and spine; red topstain. Price of $2.00 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Wilson A39a. A fictionalized dialogue between two American G.I.s, written by Stein after numerous American soldiers visited her apartment in Paris. Described as "a mother confessor" to the soldiers, Stein here records the soldiers' anxities returning home, the uncertainty around America's future, and the G.I. escapades with French and German women. An important literary record of the mindset of the American G.I. after World War II. Dust jacket is Very Good or better with with a few hints of edge wear and minor sunning to the spine panel.
