New York: International Publishers, 1941. 1st separate publication. Paperback. Very Good. 48p. 19 cm. Modest cover wear and a little browning. First published in New Masses in 1938 and added to the 1940 edition of Wright's "Uncle Tom's Children." This was the first separate publication of this short story. Wright reports that he has assigned reprint rights to International Publishers and asks that any royalties accrue to the Earl Browder Defense Fund.
