New York: The Viking Press, 1969. First US Edition Thus/Fifteenth Printing. Hardcover. Good/Fair. A later Viking Compass Edition. In nice orange cloth with black type. Unfortunate red marker streak down front page ends, otherwise clean with sharp corners and tight binding. Jacket is unclipped ($5.00) with 2 1/2 by 1 3/4 inch chip to bottom of rear panel and spine. Associated punctures/small splits alongside rear edge of spine and creasing to rear panel. Some small spot stains to inside of jacket spine.

Synopsis

GRAHAM GREENE was born in Hertfordshire in 1904. While at Balliol College, Oxford he published his first book of verse. He continued to write throughout his lifetime, and served with the Secret Intelligence Service during the Second World War. He died in 1991.
