New York: Viking Press, 1938. First US Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Fair/N/A. In salmon and black cloth with silver foil type and design motif. Top page ends tinted black. Some spots of rubbing through cloth at spine ends, corners, top front edge of front board and bottom of rear board. Tanning to spine, page ends and endpapers and some light soiling mostly to board edges. Small puncture to cloth near top of spine. Sticker shadow to front pastedown, small pen scribble to rear pastedown and shallow moisture stains to tops of rear endpapers and verso of rfep. Interior otherwise clean and binding solid. In brand new high quality facsimile jacket.

Synopsis

GRAHAM GREENE was born in Hertfordshire in 1904. While at Balliol College, Oxford he published his first book of verse. He continued to write throughout his lifetime, and served with the Secret Intelligence Service during the Second World War. He died in 1991.
