Printed for J. Richardson, 1823. Leather Binding. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. A set of 4 odd volumes from the 40-volume series; includes Volume 26 (the second part of 'The Rambler'), 32 (the first part of 'The Observer'), 35 (first part of the essays of Vicesimus Knox) and 37 (third part of the essays of Vicesimus Knox). 4 volumes in all, sold as a unit, [ca. 350] pages per volume. Uniformly bound in full brown calf, with gilt-stamped black morocco spine labels, plain endpapers, and edges flecked red-brown. The upper covers and preliminary leaves of 3 volumes (26, 32 and 37) are detached but present; moderate external wear, chiefly to spine edges and corners; slight rubbing to the leather covers, chiefly to edges and corners; minor to light internal browning and/or foxing, chiefly to edges and preliminaries. Fairly tight and clean partial set internally.
