London: T Osborne , 1738. First edition. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 8" by 5". None. The first edition of William Oldys' bibliographic work. A smart copy of the work. ESTC reference no: T147996. Rebacked with the original boards preserved. Original spine label is laid down. Collated, has been bound without the final advertisement leaf. This is the collected edition of William Oldyn's bibliographical periodical which comprised six issues total. The periodical surveys manuscript works from the libraries of great contemporary collectors and printed titles. These include Scot's Discoverie of Witchcraft, Caxon's Westminster press, Elias Ashmole's Institution, and Sir John Froissart's Chronicles.  In a full calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the spine edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. Scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
