New York: Cupples & Leon Co, 1944. Hardcover. Very Good +/good -. [4], 208 p.: frontispiece; 19 cm. Red cloth with black spine and cover titles and front cover illustration. Decorated endpapers. Color illustrated dust jacket. List of the first three titles in The Buddy Books series on verso of title page. This is the third title in the series. The front flap of the dust jacket lists volumes 1 through 20, which was published in 1944; the back section has an advertisement for war bonds and stamps. Gift inscription on front free endpaper from Christmas 1945. Book is in Very Good+ Condition: pages are browning but clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good- Condition: loss at ends of spine and lower edge of back section; closed tears at edges and fold of front flap; tape residue from old repairs at some tears; color on front section is bright.
