Inscribed by Ursula Le Guin to Philomena (Guillebaud) "with Christmas cheer" and signed by Susan Seddon Boulet, the illustrator, whose paintings deal with primitive man and creatures often with a Native American sensitivity. A beautiful work and Karla Armbruster have written an article on ecofeminism in this this book. (Interdisciplinary Studies on Literature and the Environment. Vol. 3, no. 1 (Summer, 1996). A near fine copy bound in pale blue cloth, slight bumping or spine ends, in clipped pictorial dust jacket.
