Book Condition: Good +; light soiling to front wrap; scattered splash stains on rear wrap; light edgewear to wraps and spine. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is secure in saddle staples; text is secure in binding. 84 pp 8vo. In the lumber camp days and pioneer days the cooks learned from each other and the old world cooks taught the other his country's cooking secrets. Out of the mixing came fine food prepared as nowhere else in the world. The author is putting down some of these recipes that one will not find in cook books. Each recipe here is a real cooking secret. For convenience he will start with meats, fish, soups and sauces, sandwiches, vegetables, and the art of French frying, desserts, how to dress game, how to properly sharpen a knife, how make wines and beer, how to make French soap, what to do in case of hydrogen or cobalt bomb attack. Everything is kept in alphabetical order if possible. A clean very presentable copy.
