About This Item
This set of post cards - Butchart's Gardens, Victoria, B.C. - 12 Post Cards – Hand Coloured - Produced in Real Photogravure was published in booklet form by The Gowen Sutton Co., Ltd., Vancouver, B.C. and printed in England. The post cards are enclosed in a brown paper booklet, measuring approximately 6 x 3 ¾ inches, with gilt lettering and an oval cutout on the front to allow viewing of the first post card. The post cards are attached to the booklet through a perforated seam that allows them to be individually removed from the booklet.
The pictures accompanying this description show the front cover of the booklet and a typical postcard, with the back of the previous one on the left and the subject postcard on the right.
The post cards are in good to very good condition. The booklet covers are in good condition, except that the rear cover has five spots where some sort of "attachment" had been glued on and then removed, leaving a white paper residue.
