London: John Murray, 1843. Second edition. Hardcover. Octavo, xii, 398 pages. In Good condition. Spine is brown with gold print on dark brown banner, raised bands. Boards half bound with brown leather to spine and corners and marbled paper to boards. Light wear to spine caps, corners and edges, toning to spine, light shelf wear. Text block has tinted top edge, red speckled fore and bottom edges. Bookplate and shelf location (ex-library?) in ink on front pastedown, tear to front hinge, spotting to endpapers. Illustrated: b&w frontispiece (portrait) and plates (some folded).
