A Second Edition of Edith Sitwell's anthology of selected poems between 1920-1947 with original publisher's cloth binding and dust wrapper.Edith Sitwell was the eldest of the Sitwell siblings, sister to Sacheverell and Osbert Sitwell. She suffered much critique as well as praise for her talent. Sitwell was rewarded the Benson Medal of the Royal Society of Literature and became a DBE in 1954.Includes 105 poems and notes page.Prior owner's ink inscription from 1952 on the recto of the first free endpaper and pencil annotations throughout.Gold engraved lettering on the spine. Includes unclipped dust wrapper. In publishers original cloth binding with dust wrapper. Externally generally smart. Dust wrapper is slightly worn to the extremities and has some marking. Some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities where the dust wrapper is worn. Front hinge is starting but firm. Ink inscription on the recto of the front first rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean - prior owner has annotated many of the poems in pencil. Very Good
