Publisher's advertisement for other books by Jean Giraudoux on page facing title page. A limited edition of 414 copies was printed in several different numbered series. This is number XII [12] out of 250 copies numbered with Roman numerals. Jean Giraudoux (1882-1944) was a French novelist and playwright. Cantique des Cantiques premiered in 1938. In Near Fine Condition: minor loss of wrapper at ends of spine; clean and tight.
