New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed by Smith on the title page. Very Good in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($4.95), generally soiled and rubbed, faded at the spine. Red boards, rubbed at the bottom edge. Square and firmly bound, stains at the edges, former owner's name on the front endpaper, clean otherwise. The second Roman Grey novel, this one seeing him tasked with protecting a Royal Crown of Hungary against plots from anti-communist Hungarian-Americans and an ex-Nazi art thief.
