A section from an Italian work on the people of the world, this section pertaining to Hawaii and Captain Cook's discovery of the "isole de Sandwich". The text describes the previously unknown islands of Hawaii and their inhabitants: "che queste isole non sieno state conosciute ad altro Europeo innanzi all arrivo di Cook", ( ... these islands have not been known to any other European before the arrival of Cook) p33.
