London: Sumtibus Rodwell et Martin, 1816. Leather. Good. 5" by 3.5". None. A collection of poetry by Catallus, Tibullus and Propertius bound in full straight grain morroco and written in Latin. Bound in full straight grain morocco. Written in Latin. Illustrated with a vignette to the title page. This pocket sized volume features a collection of poetry by three Latin poets; Sextus Propertius, Albius Tibullus and Gaius Valerius Catullus. The work has been comprised from the best editions. Catullus was Latin poet of the late Roman Republic whose expressions of love and hatred are generally considered the finest lyric poetry of ancient Rome. Tibullus was a notable Latin poet and writer of elegies, and Propertius was also a a Latin elegiac poet, but of the Augustan age, renowned for his four book of elegies 'Cynthia'. Bound in full straight grain morocco. Externally smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities, rubbing to the joints, raised bands and boards with minor marks to the boards. Bookplate belonging to a 'Rogers' to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
