About This Item

London: Hutchinson, 1934. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Yellow cloth with black lettering and decorations. McIlvaine B4a. The only Wodehouse story in the book is The Exit of Battling Billson. A bright and attractive near fine copy. In the D/W priced 3/6 net to the top right hand corner of the front cover. The D/W has shallow chipping at the top left hand corner of the front cover and to the head of the spine (just affecting the lettering) but is overall a nice copy. Bibliographical note: The correct First Edition has a reference (in relation to A Century of Creepy Stories of nearly 100,000 copies sold. Any figure shown which is higher than 100,000 is from an early reprint D/W. Further note: This copy accords with McIlvaine B4a. Furthermore, the English Catalogue of Books has the publication as being September 1934. Photographs/scans available upon request.
