New York: Whitney Library of Design, 1981. First American edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. Oversized hardcover. First American ediiton. Generally fine, touch of bumping at the tips. No jacket. 160 pp. with bibliography, index, list of extant works. Illusterated with photographs and reproductions of exteriors and interior detail, floor plans. Charles Francis Annesley Voysey (1857-1941) was an English architect and textile designer. His designs of wallpapers, fabrics, carpets, tiles, and furnishings in the Arts and Crafts style were a seminal minfluence on the British Art Nouveau style. As the 20th century approached, Volsey began architectural design for buildings, particularly country "cottages". Between 1900 and 1910 he not only designed complete houses but also thier interior elements.
