About This Item

Thyis is a very nice collectible copy of this remarkable history concerning the many small Southern Appalachian Mountain African-American congregations which existed from deep in the 19th century until, presumably, the present day.  Largely unknown, these church enclaves are shown with photos throughout the book. Very unusual, and made moreso by its inclusion of the signature of Rev. Mack McMillan, pastor in the year of publication.

The one noticable flaw actually keeps this copy clean and bright.  Photos on request.
