New York: The Derry-Collard Company, 1903. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Khaki green cloth over beveled boards with black lettering and red decorations. 81pp. Frontispiece, numerous figures, decorative endpapers. Very good. Quite mild binding soiling only, else tight and internally near fine. Attractive first edition of the first book by this pioneering American mechanical engineer, inventor and machine shop innovator (1848-1923). Rather uncommon and a lovely copy.
