R. G. Kennedy & Co, 1900. Hardcover. Good. 1900, the "Connoisseur Edition," numbered 352 of an unspecified limitation. Ten brown paper folders with individual title plates, all contained in a grey and brown hardback folder with illustrated title plate, and two ribbon closures at fore-edge. All plates present, with ten prints each in folders one and two; seven prints each in folders three through eight; six prints in folder nine; and seven prints in ten. Prints include facsimiles of original title pages or manuscripts, images of characters or settings, and images that illustrate his life in varying eras, including portraits of the author at different stages of his life. Exterior boards soiled with large dampstain across front panel, scuffing and fraying to edges, large chip from spine head. Ribbons at fore-edge intact, a little delicate, with some light fraying. Interior folders show moderate to heavy edgewear, with top and bottom of spines beginning to split. Prints toned, but clean and unmarked. Photographs available upon request.
