Published to a high quality by renowned fine art publisher, Goupil and co. The first trade edition of this work, issued the same year as a limited edition. This work was printed, and the plates engraved by Jean Boussod, Manzi, Joyant and Co of Asnieres-sur-Seine. Collated, complete with all plates. A fascinating work, which discusses the English Constitution under the Tudors; The Scottish Stuarts; King James and The Commons; Charles as Prince of Wales; His Early Years as King; Personal Rule; The Political Conflict and its origins; and the Civil War. In the original paper wraps. Externally, some age toning to the extremities and small closed tears along the edges of the paper wraps. A closed tear to the rear joint of the head of the spine. A stain to the rear wrap. Internally, generally firmly bound. Some pages are uncut. Bright and clean throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
