Probably a later printing, as there is no specific statement of First Edition - alhough this book was published in conjunction with Van Lachlan and Lange and may represent an exception to Harper & Row's customary practice. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR and there are a number fo chinese characters inscribed on the title page, undecipherable to us. First Edition (1983), unstated. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a single unobtrusive cosmetic imperfection. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Very close to 'As New'.
