The Chinese Lion, here printed from the original manuscript was written by Mary Webb in or about 1926, and, as far as can be ascertained, has not previously been published ..... This edition consists of three hundred and fifty copies, designed by E. E. Osborne, and printed by Baxter & Ewin , Ltd, London for Bertram Rota......This edition is 180 and inscribed " This is No. 180 and is ror my old and dear friend Herb West, (Herb Faulkner West printed label is on the ffe) to remind him of our happy in London in May. 1955. Book has 1/4 red cloth binding with beautiful printed boards. Some slight foxing to paste-downs and ffe and lfp. In fine publishers slipcase. A beautiful collectible.
