Cirencester: Collector's Book Club, 1968. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 11.5" by 9". None. An illustrated history of the works of Thomas Chippendale. Book Club edition. With many photographic plates. Thomas Chippendale (probably born at Otley, West Riding of Yorkshire, baptised at Otley 16 June [O.S. 5 June] 1718 November 1779) was a London cabinet-maker and furniture designer in the mid-Georgian, English Rococo, and Neoclassical styles. In a cloth binding with original clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart, with just some light shelfwear and a couple of marks. Dustwrapper is sound, though with some marks, tidemarks to the rear, and some creasing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
