London: John Camden Hotten, 1866. Green cloth, covers stamped in blind, spine lettered in gilt. Pale yellow coated endpapers. Twelve pages of ads at rear. Frontispiece containing two woodcut portraits of Carlyle. Some wear to spine ends, a bright very good copy. Preliminary introduction by Hotten. Preceded by a pamphlet edition published in Edinburgh; this Hotten edition came out in cloth and paperbound formats.
