Boston: W. Crosby and H.P. Nichols, 1851. Pamphlet. 51p, 5.5 x 9 inches, wraps, text block in very good condition, spine covering largely worn away but hand-sewn signatures intact, covers worn and corners bent. J.G. Forman (1820-1885) "minister of the Second Congregational Church in Nantucket, until recently minister of the First Church and Congregation in West Bridgewater, Mass., to which is added, a friendly letter to said church and congregation on the pro-slavery influences that occasioned his removal." He apparently preached in opposition to the 1850 Fugitive Slave Law.
