New York: Reinhold Publishing Corporation, 1943. Cloth. Very Good +. INSCRIBED BY ELIEL SAARINEN on the half-title TO NOTED AMERICAN ARTIST LEDYARD TOWLE (1890-1973). A solid copy to boot of the 1943 1st edition. Tight and VG+ in its oatmeal cloth, with very light offsetting along the pastedowns and endsheets. Octavo, written while Saarinen was running The Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
