New York: Knopf, 1963. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/very good. 192 pp; purple cloth spine, blue boards lettered in silver. Very slight bump to one lower corner, but still a fine copy, in a clean, priced dust jacket with chipping at the head and foot of the spine and a short tear to the rear panel near the spine. Jacket design and typography by George Salter. First book by Hazzard, who went on to win an O'Henry Award, the National Book Critic's Circle Award and National Book Award, among others.
