British Museum originally published a catalogue of its collection of coins in the 1880s. This is a scarce original first edition dealing with the Greek and Scythic Kings of Bactria and India. 8vo, bound in the original dark red cloth with gilt titles on spine. Lxxvi + 153pp with 32 full page plates of the coins. A bit of edge wear at top & base of spine, corners slightly bumped. Ex reference library with minimal markings, a 'Presented by the Trustees of the British Museum' bookplate on front pastedown, single stamp on front endpapers, decorative bookplate on rear pastedown, handwritten library number on reverse of title page & spine, no other obvious markings. Inner book is in very good condition.
