About This Item

Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good +. The uncommon, complete set of this sweeping compilation of the "The Collected Papers of Charles Sanders Peirce". 8 volumes all told, bound in 5 separate books. Each book is clean and Near Fine and each boasts a crisp, VG+ to Near Fear dustjacket. Very mild darkening along the spines, a touch of very light rubbing at several of the panels and light creasing along 2 panel edges (Vols. III-IV). Still though, attractive and very presentable. Vols. I-VI are stated second editions (all published in 1960), Vols. VII and VIII are 1958 1st editions. The complete breakdown: Vol. I (Principles of Philosophy) and Vol. 2 (Elements of Logic) form the first book; Vol. 3 (Exact Logic) and Vol. IV (The Simplest Mathematics) form the second book; Vol. V (Pragmatism and Pragmaticism) and Vol. VI (Scientific Metaphysics) form the third book; Vol. VII (Science and Philosophy) forms the fourth book; and Volume VIII (Reviews, Corresponences and Bibliography) forms the 5th and final book.
