Macmillan, London., 1934. First edition. Octavo. pp vi, 617. Tissue-guarded frontispiece reproduction of a charcoal drawing of the author by John Singer Sargent. Original maroon cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in blind on spine. Top edge gilt. Twenty-one plays. One page Preface by the author. Contemporary (1938) gift on front free endpaper; the inscription is to a Mr A.C. Hills in gratitude for his production at Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, Bristol, of Shaw's Androcles and the Lion. The two-page programme for the production is laid in. Fore-edge of page227 slightly torn. Near fine in very good indeed dustwrapper a bit darkened at the spine and slightly creased at the edges.
