Very good, 1st edition, missing d/j, light blue boards a little tanned at edges/spiine; gilt/dark blue spine titling bright; text block firm, pages tight and unmarked. Neat owner's inscription on ffep. Loose inserts newspaper reviews, obit and interview with 2nd wife, actress Jill Balcon.. 8vo (230 x 150 / 9"" x 6""). C. Day-Lewis, was an Anglo-Irish poet and Poet Laureate from 1968 until his death in 1972. He wrote mystery stories under the pseudonym of Nicholas Blake. He was also the father of celebrated actor Sir Daniel Day-Lewis.
