The first edition of this illustrated anthology of verses by Rudyard Kipling, featuring some lovely coloured plates by W. Heath Robinson. The first of this edition of the collected verse of Rudyard Kipling, popular writer in the late 19th and early 20th century, the first English-language writer to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907. Many of his children's books are considered to be classics. Featuring illustrations by W. Heath Robinson, of which nine are stunning coloured plates tipped in. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, damp mark to rear board, back strip darkened. Previous ownership inscription to front free endpaper dated 1910. Internally, firmly bound. Light faint minor spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise bright and clean. Good
